Ok I couldn't help myself one last post

I was reading in a magazine put out by In touch Ministries tonight after my final class to officially become a minister with FCC(YAY God!!!) Any who back to the story at hand. I was glancing through it while pastor Mal dropped of Julie at home, and came across an article on faith entitled Nikes and mustard seeds, Learning Faith From a Five Year Old. Darn was going to paste the article here but it's in the October magazine so I would have to type it all out and it's long so instead I will give you the cole's notes version. I must be sick or something I'm trying to keep things short!!! LOL

Ok this mother is out shopping one day and she sees these really cute baby shoes that she just had to buy for her 1 year old daughter. Now if you know any thing bout little ones they tend to out grow shoe sizes once a month so this mother did what all mothers do and bought them 1 size bigger so they would last longer after all they were $47!!!

The three of them go out on a hike and the little one is in a carrier on mom's back wearing the SHOES. Three clicks into the trek on this brisk fall afternoon they stop to rest. Mom feels the little one's foot wiggling against her back and it feels soft... Too soft. She frantically starts searching where they are standing only to be stopped by her 5 year old son saying to her,"Mommy why don't we pray?"

"That's it. So simple."

"Ethan and I held hands. He prayed;'God, we lost Thea's shoe. We can't find it anywhere. We don't know what to do. Please help us.'"

as soon as little Ethan said amen the trees parted about 30 feet away and a beam of sunlight so bright that it made the rest of the forest look dark shone through the trees and in the center of the beam was Thea's shoe.

Luke 18:16-17 discusses faith of the children and how unless we come to Him like a child we will not find Him. How does a little one have faith you ask. Well they haven't learned to distrust people or things. If I say to my niece I will be there at 6 pm she is expecting her uncy to walk through those doors at 6 pm and she is so excited that she jumps up and down for joy. Things are simple to a child, years of worry and disappointment have stolen that innocence from us. We need to take it back by force!! Fight tooth and nail for it. Our God is an awesome God and He will deliver, be it a place to live or a long awaited visit with friends who live a long way off, but we need to approach it with faith not fear or worry. Who among you can grow even a cm through worrying? Then what's the use of worrying? Did you know that worrying actually makes you ill and kills you off earlier? It says so in proverbs.

I for one choose to have a child like faith in Christ and His promises. I know He will deliver not too sure in what way but He will and I need to Take each step in faith because scripture also says that anything you do that is not in faith is a sin regardless of the motivation behind it. So do all things in faith and you will be blessed beyond a doubt, life will be full of so much joy that you won't be able to contain it, you will bubble over with it in the midst of trouble and count it all joy. Not that a lot of things are good and you know some things you should not give thanks for but through all things give thanks.

Guess I shot up the idea of a short one tonight oh well.
Good night and God bless,

Well last day of internet for a while

I'm moving tomorrow to a yet undetermined location. And with a strike looming with the public service workers for the federal government I am not sure what's going to happen but the Word says not to worry bout tomorrow so we will see what tomorrow brings whether it is new hope and a miracle or utter disapointment. Only God knows for sure.

Tough questions for me and anyone who accepts the challange

Ok so today was like most other sundays I spent at Fcc but today it differed greatly. Usually I go there to serve others not to be served but today in my time of need my church family got together and fed not only my spirit but my body as well. They brought me bag after bag of food and not the stuff you would get at a food bank or even the stuff I would normally buy as I usually don't equate eating as something other then filling up the old tank. I got stuff to make salads, cakes, eggs, some freaky chocolate peanut butter stuff, milk and various other goodies. For that I am thankful beyond words.

Next comes the shelter thing not too sure what's happenning there but the church is working with me to find a place in south end; I'm looking at a house 6 doors down from FCC. It runs at $450/month all utilities included, but it doesn't include any apliances so that's a little problem with it however the owner is willing to rent me out a fridge and stove for $25/month each which brings it up to $500 a month still a deal for a south end apartment. I will keep everyone posted on that. Now to the challange.

The question that was left to us tonight at the end of the chapter in the Purpose Driven Life class was this, "What has God already told me in His Word that I haven't started doing yet?"

How often we ask God, "What is Your will for me?" Guess what His responce is to us...

... I have told you all ready read it again it's in My word.

Time to chase a rabit for a bit here Pastor Mal brought up an interesting thing tonight bout the WWJD movement that is out in the world. He said that it should read WDTBSAI or What does the Bible Say About it, because too many people think it's vague or subject to opinion but you know I was taught we are to know the will of Christ and what He would do; it's all in His manual - The Bible. So there fore it is not subject to opinion at all WWJD do is spelled out rather directly in both the New and Old Testamints. It is litteral and thurough on What Jesus would do and that my brothers and sisters is how we are to live. So whan you see WWJD remember it means WDTBSAI and anything short of that is a sin it becomes idolotry. Oh no don't say that brother!!! It is when you trust on your own understanding you missed the entire picture

Well time for me to ponder my thoughts and ask my Dad to help me figure out what He has told me in His Word.

Good night and peace be with you,
Your bro

A bold reassurance from the Lord

Matthew 6
25Therefore I tell you, stop being [1] perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?

26Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?
27And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the [2] span of his life?(1)
28And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and [3] learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.
29Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his [4] magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these. [I Kings 10:4-7.]
30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?
31Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? Or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?
32For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.
33But seek ([5] aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([6] His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [7] taken together will be given you besides.
34So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.

If this is true then why do I worry about shelter and food and clothing does this verse not say seek ye first the kindom of heaven and these things will be given to you? Have I been seeking His kindom first? At a point in my life where I long for the resources of a big city as opposed to the lack of Timmins. Guess it is make or break time for my faith in the Lord. I fully believe He will provide for all my needs, no but's about it, except am I living in His will? What will He have me do?

As I work through a ministry class at FCC with Pastor Mal I struggle with the differences between what my natural abilities are and my spiritual gifts, partly because I see no distinguishing between them and partly because my memory of when I first came to the Lord is repressed. Was it at Bible camp when I was 8? Was it when my cousin died at 18? Or was it when I had my children at 19?

As a kid I was shy and was tortured by my peers a lot due to my weight problem. But come junior high time things started to change I grew bigger and stronger then the bullies. I was still shy but I started to take out the bullies cause I was sick of their pathetic little games. It was also around that time I hit the bottle and started to smoke. But gifts started to show up like the ability to take anything that I learned and teach it in plain English instead of geek or nerd talk. Would that fall under the gift of teaching? I started getting visions of when things would go wrong. Is that the gift of prophecy or was that a haunting from my occult days? I lost my beautiful singing voice but gained an ability to paint would that be the gift of art? From a young age I was taught to be generous and to tip big even if I just went in to use a washroom of a restaurant. I was also taught to love and help those in need even if I couldn't afford it. Would this fall under the gift of sacrificial giving or under helps or would it be a gift at all or just a natural ability. Next as I reached adult hood and know definitely that I was saved I started getting knowledge and wisdom that I could not understand where it had come from. I was teaching my bosses better ways to do there jobs and having them ask me for advise, same with church leaders so would this be the gift of apostalizing or church planting?

One confused brother looking for answers if any one has advise or any idea bout this stuff let me know,

Your bro in the Lord Jesus Christ,
Eric

Well first we had poverty then prosparity now how bout blessing?

What does Scripture say about blessing today I will put all the references that I find in the Word that I find so it will be long but by the end of this indebth study I hope everyone that reads this blog will have a better understanding of each topic and grow in the Lord.

There are some little tid bits in the study of the word blessings. For example did you know that when the word grace is used it means umarited forgiveness and spiritual blessings through out the new testiment? I can see now where people believe that we only recieve spiritual blessings, but there are also many verses that talk about a phisical blessing when we give. So if you would like to know what Scripture says on blessing read on if your going to look at this with a hard heart then don't waste your time reading it. If I would have done that I would not have had the blessing of noticing that little tid bit I just metioned. Enjoy and God bless

Eric

7 Blessed and happy and [3] to be envied are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered up and completely buried.
8 Blessed and happy and [4] to be envied is the person of whose sin the Lord will take no account nor reckon it against him.(2)

Romans 15
29 And I know that when I do come to you, I shall come in the abundant blessing of the Gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2
12 Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.

1 Corinthians 9
22 To the weak (wanting in discernment) I have become weak (wanting in discernment) that I might win the weak and overscrupulous. I have [in short] become all things to all men, that I might by all means (at all costs and in any and every way) save some [by winning them to faith in Jesus Christ].
23 And I do this for the sake of the good news (the Gospel), in order that I may become a participator in it and share in its [blessings along with you].
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.

2 Corinthians 8
9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

2 Corinthians 9
6 [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [[1] that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.

2 Corinthians 9
7 Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He [1] takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, "prompt to do it") giver [whose heart is in his giving].(1)
8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [2] earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [3] be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
9 As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!(2)

2 Corinthians 9
14 And they yearn for you while they pray for you, because of the surpassing measure of God's grace (His favor and mercy and spiritual blessing which is shown forth) in you.

Galatians 3
14 To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit.

Galatians 3
22 But the Scriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so that [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to [all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him].

Galatians 5
4 If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing).

Galatians 5
5 For we, [not relying on the Law but] through the [Holy] Spirit's [help], by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and good for which our righteousness and right standing with God [our [1] conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action, causes us] to hope.

Galatians 6
9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
10 So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [[1] morally] to all people [not only [2] being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God's family with you, the believers].
11 See with what large letters I am writing with my own hand. [[3] Mark carefully these closing words of mine.]

Galatians 6
18 The grace (spiritual favor, blessing) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah) be with your spirit, brethren. Amen (so be it).

Philippians 4
16 For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time.
17 Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account].
18 But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.

Colossians 2
2 [For my concern is] that their hearts may be [1] braced (comforted, cheered, and encouraged) as they are knit together in love, that they may come to have all the abounding wealth and blessings of assured conviction of understanding, and that they may become progressively [2] more intimately acquainted with and may know more definitely and accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God, [which is] Christ (the Anointed One).

Hebrews 6
13 For when God made [His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear,
14 Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.(1)
15 And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him.

1 Peter 3
9 Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God--that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].

1 John 5
9 If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [if we are willing to take human authority], the testimony of God is greater (of stronger authority), for this is the testimony of God, even the witness which He has borne regarding His Son.
10 He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son.
11 And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life.
13 I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in [3] the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, [4] yes, eternal life.
14 And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.
15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

Now isn't it hunting season out here? Let's get some more beef!!

Last night was poverty now let's see what the Bible says about prospering shall we?

Genesis 39
1 AND JOSEPH was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there.
2 But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand.

Genesis 39
23 The prison warden paid no attention to anything that was in [Joseph's] charge, for the Lord was with him and made whatever he did to prosper

Deuteronomy 28
10 And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
11 And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Deuteronomy 30
8 And you shall return and obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.
9 And the Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, of your cattle, of your land, for good; for the Lord will again delight in prospering you, as He took delight in your fathers,
10 If you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with all your being.

Joshua
16 Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
7 Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

1 Samuel 18
5 And David went out wherever Saul sent him, and he prospered and behaved himself wisely; and Saul set him over the men of war. And it was satisfactory both to the people and to Saul's servants.

2 Samuel 23
5 Truly does not my house stand so with God? For He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure. For will He not cause to prosper all my help and my desire?

2 Kings 18
7 And the Lord was with Hezekiah; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to serve him.

1 Chronicles 22
11 Now, my son, the Lord be with and prosper you in building the house of the Lord your God, as He has spoken concerning you.

2 Chronicles 24
20 Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood over the people, and he said to them, Thus says God: Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.

2 Chronicles 26
5 He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the things of God; and as long as he sought (inquired of, yearned for) the Lord, God made him prosper.

2 Chronicles 32
And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

Job 36
11 If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.

Psalm 1 BOOK ONE
1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]

Psalm 35
27Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

Psalm 112
1 PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.(1)
2 His [spiritual] offspring shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice
6 He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance.(3)
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.
9 He has distributed freely [he has given to the poor and needy]; his righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) endures forever; his horn shall be exalted in honor.

Proverbs 19
8He who gains Wisdom loves his own life; he who keeps understanding shall prosper and find good.

Jeremiah 33
6 Behold, [in the future restored Jerusalem] I will lay upon it health and healing, and I will cure them and will reveal to them the abundance of peace (prosperity, security, stability) and truth.

Zechariah 11
7Cry yet again, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts: My cities shall yet again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

Matthew 5
3 Blessed (happy, [1] to be envied, and [2] spiritually prosperous--[3] with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
4 Blessed and enviably happy [with a [4] happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!(1)
5 Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, [5] spiritually prosperous--[6] with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!(2)
6 Blessed and fortunate and happy and [7] spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God [8] enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be [9] completely satisfied!(3)
7 Blessed (happy, [10] to be envied, and [11] spiritually prosperous--[12] with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!
8 Blessed (happy, [13] enviably fortunate, and [14] spiritually prosperous--possessing the [15] happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!(4)
9 Blessed (enjoying [16] enviable happiness, [17] spiritually prosperous--[18] with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and [19] maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!
10 Blessed and happy and [20] enviably fortunate and [21] spiritually prosperous [22] (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
11 Blessed (happy, [23] to be envied, and [24] spiritually prosperous--[25] with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account.
12 Be glad and supremely joyful, for your reward in heaven is great (strong and intense), for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you. [II Chron. 36:16.]

3 John
12 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.

Now I am going to say one thing here is it just me or does God want to prosper us and did He not make a covenant with abraham that He would prosper him and that his kids too would reap the rewards from the covenant?

Oh well God bless and peace out

Deuteronomy 28
1IF YOU will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
2And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.
3 Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

7The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8The Lord shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake. And He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
9The Lord will establish you as a people holy to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
10And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
11And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
12The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
13And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.
14And you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Proverbs 6
10Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down and sleep
11So will your poverty come like a robber or one who travels [with slowly but surely approaching steps] and your want like an armed man [making you helpless].
12A worthless person, a wicked man, is he who goes about with a perverse (contrary, wayward) mouth.

Proverbs 10
15The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin.
16The earnings of the righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) lead to life, but the profit of the wicked leads to further sin.

Proverbs 13
18Poverty and shame come to him who refuses instruction and correction, but he who heeds reproof is honored.

Proverbs 14
23In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty.

Proverbs 20
12The hearing ear and the seeing eye--the Lord has made both of them.
13Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes and you will be satisfied with bread.

Proverbs 23
21For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Proverbs 24
33Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep--
34So shall your poverty come as a robber, and your want as an armed man

Proverbs 28
18He who walks uprightly shall be safe, but he who willfully goes in double and wrong ways shall fall in one of them.
19He who cultivates his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless people and pursuits will have poverty enough.
20A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich [at any cost] shall not go unpunished.

2 Corinthians 8
1WE WANT to tell you further, brethren, about the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [arousing in them the desire to give alms];
2For in the midst of an ordeal of severe tribulation, their abundance of joy and their depth of poverty [together] have overflowed in wealth of lavish generosity on their part.
3For, as I can bear witness, [they gave] according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability; and [they did it] voluntarily,
4Begging us most insistently for the favor and the fellowship of contributing in this ministry for [the relief and support of] the saints [in Jerusalem].
5Nor [was this gift of theirs merely the contribution] that we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us [as His agents] by the will of God [[1] entirely disregarding their personal interests, they gave as much as they possibly could, having put themselves at our disposal to be directed by the will of God]--
6So much so that we have urged Titus that as he began it, he should also complete this beneficent and gracious contribution among you [the church at Corinth].

2 Corinthians 8
9For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

I will continue this tomorrow as I'm not even close to having an exhaustive list of the blessings and curses I can say this though we rest in the blessings of the children of Israel today because it says those blessings are for the righteous men and well if you accepted Christ you are righteous, but I digress I will leave it up to you to examine the evidence and decide for your self from the word of God not a preachers pulpit or some theology but from the truth and by doing that I may end up being surprised my self. I am doing this not only so I can see it for myself if I am wrong but also for you to see it for yourselves if you are wrong. Either way the Word will decide and the Spirit will guide.

Till tomorrow God bless and God keep and protect you
